John Wanamaker Signed Document 1874

Description

This  auction features a signed document from John Wanamaker. It is dated 9 September 1874. This 148 year old document is in great condition.  There are no strains. However, there are a few folding tears. The overall size is 18 x 12 inches.  It also includes a folder from  The West  Philadelphia Title & Trust Co. - Mortgage with some handwritten notes. The document appears to be an assignment of Bond Mortgage to the Sun Fire Insurance of Philadelphia.  In addition to John Wanamaker's signature, this document includes notary marks and witness signatures. This piece of Philadelphia history would be great for a private collector,  museum or historical society.
