OTTO WALLACH (1847-1931) SIGNED CARD,
“Mr. Ashley Cole/New York/Dr. O. Wallach/10 October 1927/ Gottingen”, by the
German chemist and recipient of the 1910Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work on alicyclic compounds
. He was responsible for naming terpene and pinene, and for taking the first systematic study of pinene. He
wrote a book about the chemistry of terpenes, “Terpene and Campher”
(1909). This item comes from the famous autograph collection of New York attorney Ashley T. Cole who died in 1965. The handwritten card is in fine condition, with minor age toning.
