PARKER ROYAL CHALLENGER GREY HERRINGBONE PEN, SWORD CLIP FOR PARTS

For sale is a PARKER ROYAL CHALLENGER GREY HERRINGBONE FOUNTAIN PEN, DOUBLE JEWEL WITH SWORD CLIP FOR PARTS. The pen is 5 and 1/8th inches long capped and in fair condition. The cap with the sword clip is in good condition with no cracks or chips, some minor marks and scratches but is missing the 3rd. nickel cap band and can be seen in the photos, the clip is in very good condition and both jewels are in very good condition, and the barrel has no deep scratches but is cracked. The pen is button filling and does not fill, the nib is good and is a medium and is NOT THE CORRECT NIB FOR THE PEN. The nib is marked: 792918 - PARKER - DUOFOLD - MADE IN U.S.A. and is 14k gold. The barrel imprint is bold and is marked: PARKER ROYAL CHALLENGER - GEO. S. PARKER - MADE IN U.S.A. - 17. The main problem with the pen is that the pen has a crack in the mouth of the barrel and the crack can be seen in many of the pictures and the crack is approximately 1 inch or more long before it has solid material, so the pen is being sold for parts.
