Description

The production of the Parker 41 was short lived, it was produced from 1956 to 1958. The Parker 41 with the exotic colors was intended to attract the Women of the fifties, however the pen was a bit large and didn’t fit well in the purse. Unfortunately for Parker it turned out that the 41 was not popular among Women as they had hoped. Well today, this rare Parker 41 model is quite popular among collectors.
It appears to me that this pen set has never been used, I didn’t fill the pen with ink to get the writing sample, I just dipped the nib in the ink bottle. This set is in excellent condition. The Brushed Stainless Cap has the Black jewel and Arrow Clip with the number 41 imprint on it. The translucent aero-metric filler has the number 41 imprinted on it as well. In addition, the filler has the filling instructions engraved right on the sleeve. This pen is fitted with a smooth writing medium Octanium nib.
This set comes with the Liquid Lead matching pencil. The liquid Lead pencil at first glance looks like a typical ball point pen however the pen point don’t retract, it’s in fixed position. The design of this LL pencil is that it is filled with liquid graphite paste substance which writes dry and is erasable, unlike a ball point ink pen. This pencil actually still writes a faint line so there may still be some life to it. This matching pencil has the same style cap as the pen with the Liquid Lead logo vertically imprinted toward the top of the barrel. This pencil is in excellent condition as well.
This set comes in the Parker presentation box which appears to be original but I’m not sure of that. The box is very worn and top don’t seem to close all the way. The box is the only thing that is not in excellent condition when it comes to this Pen Set.
