    Description

For sale is a one-off limerick written by Isaac Asimov on a postcard addressed to himself.  The limerick was written for his friend Nedda Casei, renowned operatic mezzo-soprano and groundbreaking labor leader for artists. The limerick reads:
There is a young woman named Nedda
And I think we were lucky to get 'er
    The pleasures of Emory'll
    Turn out quite ephemeral
But Nedda, you see, is much better
Isaac Asimov wrote about 500 books, including a few treasuries of limericks in the 1970's.  The postcard he wrote upon was from the Dutch Treat Club about a guest speaker named Pete Strudwick at the Union Club.  At the event on October 23, 1979, Isaac wrote the limerick for Nedda, who was also in attendance.
The limerick is signed and dated 23 Oct 1979.
There is a crease on the right hand side of the card, not effecting the poem or signature.
