Sony D-99 Discman, fully restored, recapped and recalibrated. New spindle motor, new sled gears, new volume pot, fresh rubber feet - it is ready for another decade of abuse. Headphone coupling was upgraded to 200uF Nichicon audio-grade caps. All Discmans from my own collection sound their best off the batteries, that is why 9V center-negative battery pack is included for your critical listening sessions. Just do not forget to turn it off (or to unplug) when not in use: D-99 draws 40mAmp in Standby/Off mode and drains batteries in less than a week. If needed, internal rechargeable BP-2 battery or EBP-2 battery holder can be purchased separately:

D-99 plays CD-R and CD layer on dual CD/SACD discs without any problems, passes skip-test CD (CD with 1mm scratch across the whole disc)
